OSX RAW support update

    I now have support for my camera in OSX.

    Here is the list:

    Canon PowerShot G1 X
    Nikon D4
    Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GX1
    Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ35
    Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ38
    Samsung NX200
    Sony Alpha NEX-7
    Sony NEX-VG20

    Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.10

    RAW support in OS X is no substitute whatsoever for a proper workflow and editing program like LR 4. You still need Lightroom for your organization and editing; OS X's RAW support just allows you to preview the files.

    Actually, this update needs iPhoto or Aperture to be installed, so it won't even do that. Probably it'll get rolled into 10.7.4, at which point Preview and other OS X apps will benefit.

    Agree on the larger point though. Despite some minor improvements in Aperture 3, Lightroom is definitely still the way to go, Mac or no Mac.

    Yeah, maybe, but the cost of changing from A3 to LR4 is large in terms of time and effort. Aperture 3 has been out for 2 years - and that's the historical timeframe for a new version. I'd wait a bit...

    Anyway, the OP never mentioned what they are using...I'm assuming it's A3, or it wouldn't be on the radar! :smile:
