Orchids

    I commented to Rafael that his shots of the clivia flowers looked so great that the DOF almost looked like it had been focus stacked (which it was not).

    At least for me it's hard to get a high percentage of good handheld macro shots (without flash) in low light that have nice DOF. However lately, I have been trying not to go for the "perfect" shot....and just shoot in the moment.

    I like orchids. I am going to post a few shots of ones that ARE in relatively good focus and exhibit decent DOF.....and a few that don't.

    Somehow, I am liking the ones that don't......let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Rich,

    these are lovely shots !
    I also love to shoot orchids, my wife loves to grow them.

    I'll post some later today, have to go to school first :biggrin:
    All my orchid pics are shot on tripod however.
