This sums up the current weather conditions in my little part of the world today.. The weather people are calling the condition "a heat dome". These lovely temperatures are accompanied by 80-90 % humidity..

I'm going to sit on the porch and have several cold beverages... :drinks:

Same here, though today it eased a bit. Yesterday was a record. Intense heat and humidity.

Stay cool, Alan. Looks like I made the right call to work from home today--really hot as well in NJ. Maybe we should re-post our pictures from this past winter to feel better?

Nice. I'm going to head to NY subway... where temperature in the stations gets to about infinity.
I tried to make a shot of haze yesterday but my office is melting so I won't process it anytime soon . I'm not confused - my brains are steaming
Good luck and stay in shade.

    Hi, Alan,

maybe, you might want to change jobs with our brave Belgian King Albert II ??
These were taken yesterday afternoon, during the annual military parade for our version of 'Independence Day'

100 degrees fahrenheit at my home in New Jersey now... 103 in Manhattan, where my office is. Very hazy and humid.

Wow Alan! - that's 40 C. Here it's 20 C but there's always high humidity (85 - 90%). Down in the south (Andalucia - Cordoba) it's around 30 C (37% humidity). Anyway, on Sunday I'm flying back 'home' (near Liverpool) for 5 weeks so not much chance of having really hot weather there! At the moment it's 17 C and is forecast to go up to 20 C or even 23 C (!!) next week.

    Alan,

I lived in Florida for 18 years. Lots of humidity. When I moved here to North Alabama, while it got hot, it was a good bit dryer heat and therefore more tolerable. The last 3 weeks however have rivaled any humid heat I've experienced in Florida, and we don't have an ocean/river breeze. Its been down right miserable. Its why I haven't done much photography.

I don't know what to choose - last winter's snow or this summer's heatwave. Ah, choices, choices.

Whatever, I'm still grillin' today and this weekend.

    Hi Hyubie,

We have dinner guests for this evening... grilling also. I just told Michelle we could put the salmon out on the porch and it can cook itself.

Did your new camera ever show up??

For those of you that don't know, the NYC subway in the summertime is hell on earth. The cars are air-conditioned, but guess where they blow all of that hot damp air? Yes, onto the tracks and oven-like subway platforms. Ugh.
