A flying visit to Hathersage via Burbage North enabled me a little time to try and get a view or two. Misty most of the time so had to choose my moment. this scene appealed to me, but is it better in colour or mono? Taken with E-M5 and Leica 14-150mm and both pod in LR4.2

    E-M5    LEICA D VARIO-ELMAR 14-150mm    14mm    f/3.5    1/4000s    ISO 200

    And the mono conversion:

    E-M5    LEICA D VARIO-ELMAR 14-150mm    14mm    f/3.5    1/4000s    ISO 200

They are both excellent - but I vote colour.

Excellent shot! I also vote for color, although the B&W might benefit from some deeper blacks - it seems to need a bit more tonal range.

Usually I would vote for the B&W, but, the color really works better for me. Thanks.

I also like the color shot better. The changing color in the sky makes the shot more interesting. The contrast on the trees and the foreground also looks better in the color shot. IMHO, the shot might even look better in 2x3 or 16x9 aspect ratios...

I love the color in the sky.

Great shot, and color! Perhaps push the contrast a tad, although this does have a great atmospheric. Ah, push the color a bit - give that a try.

I'll be different, like the B&W! Love the sky.
