Nice stuff! I'm a big fan of this lens ... it seems to get a bad rap, but I think it's undeserved.

  4. Thanks.

The lens I have been using since the end of July has an even worse reputation - the Panasonic 45-175X. Fortunately I haven't had the double-image/soft-image problem that some people have - at least, if I have I haven't noticed it. It works much better with achromats than the 45-200, but I wrote about that (at great length!) in several posts in this thread, so no point repeating it here. Just worth saying I suppose that although I haven't done as much photography as usual this "summer" because of the horrible weather, when I have used it the 45-175 has confirmed the initial impressions I wrote about before - very nice and easy to use with my achromats (and that's about the only photography I do), and produces results that I find pleasing.
