More photos and a lengthy explanation why this series is important to me <a href="http://gimletsandfilm.wordpress.com/2013/07/10/driving-renewing-family-tradition-photography/">here on the blog.</a>

When my brother and I were kids, we’d all jump into the car on weekends when ‘it was time’ and we’d go wherever it was Dad decided we were going. Many times it was a trip over to the ocean from the peninsula to Half Moon Bay via Kings Mountain/Tunitas Creek or Highway 92 to Skyline, then down Highway 84, THEN to Half Moon Bay.

Yesterday, I retraced some steps as I enjoy doing from time to time.

Very nice! Both are well done, but I think I like the second photo best.

What a great tradition. Beautiful b&w images, too. The "not a through street" picture is perfect, both on its own and as a part of your narrative.
