Every so often, after turning the camera on, or waking it up, the first photo is black. I've lost a few good shots that way, and it has always happened. Tried googling, but I must be the only one ever with this issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Happens on all lenses (20mm mk1, oly 45mm, 10-50mm) too, with and without the battery grip, not dependant on battery charge.

I've had the camera for a couple of years and i doubt it's in warranty.

I'm interested in this as well, happens to me also, although it didn't always do it for me and it doesnt do it every time, i'd say about a 1/4 of the time.

I have had that happen to me with my original rebel--Canon didn't fix it though even though I sent it back, I just learned to live with it, took the first shot and grabbed the second one

Me too, EM5m1 I suspect it's temperature related.

It happens often when in manual mode - esp with legacy lens. Probably shutter. It happened since purchase but i assumed it was my fault since i was new to mft and so didnt send it in for repair.
