Did a group landscape photo shoot just north of Brisbane, just as smoke from a forest fire came through. My little OMD EM5 camera was up there with the "BIG" boys

Great choice on including the light on the railing.

Fires are unfortunate but important. And the tricks of light they produce can be beautiful, as your photos show so well. The panorama sunset is a very beautiful image.

I love 1, 3 and 4!

As mentioned, well managed fires are part and parcel of the Australian bush, and gees they can give an epic sunset/rise!

350duser and luckypenguin.. yes taken from Wild Horse Mountain.. or as I like to say Wild Mosquito Mountain due to the abundance of mosquitoes that even tried to bite me through my hat.. .. Ironically enough its original function was to spot bush fires. As you can see it provides magnificent views not only east to the mountains but also west to the ocean. I will go back to take more photos.

luckpenguin.., same as me.. I long wondered about the observatory on the top of the mountain and drove past it many times.

Thanks for all the feedback fellow mu43
