I picked up a reconditioned EM5ii recently. Have image stabilization setup to S-IS Auto. This may be a stupid question. But is there a good way to validate that stabilization is indeed working as expected? Thanks.
Grab your longest lens, in the settings enable Image Stabilisation when the shutter is half pressed, now use the articulating screen with liveview to monitor the frame without half pressing the shutter, then with half pressing it, the liveview on screen should become noticeably less shaky (Do this handheld, of course) Alternatively, remove the lens and look at the sensor while using image stabilisation, if the sensor counteracts your movements with the camera, it should be good (Be careful not to get your sensor dirty)
