Here's a sample of what I was able to put together with the OMD-EM5 and my trusty GF1. I'm still cooking up RAW files in lightroom, but I felt the need to share some shots. This was my first time shooting a wedding and being that I'm a bit of a thrill seeker, I actually enjoyed myself (pressure aside). What I can say from my experience is that M43 is indeed capable of shooting a wedding, however I would highly recommend having a second body (as with any other format).. in my case the OMD froze at a critical moment during the wedding  That being said, I'm still a big fan of the OMD, the image quality and they way it handles is amazing (especially with the HLD-6 grip attached).... All shots taken with PL25,45ZUK,20MM,7.5MM,FL600R

That sucks your E-M5 froze. I've had that happen to my previous E-M5 body, but luckily not during anything important! Any bride and groom shots you can share?

Yeah man.. I think I did one of these  when it happened, but I was prepared for it so no biggie. In my case the outside temp was pretty hot and when I removed the grip it was pretty hot also, not sure if the weather had anything to do with it. I'll get some more shots up as soon as I'm done.

I've never had a freeze issue with any other mirrorless camera I've owned except the E-M5. I'm guessing the camera probably gets pretty hot especially with the 5 axis IBIS.

That's why I brought the GF1 along that thing is a tank! Rain or shine it always shoots lol.. That's a great point regarding the 5 AXIS IBIS, I was thinking it may have been a battery issue

I loved my gf1. Then I upgraded and now I still want a gf1 again. Not bad shots, sucks your camera froze. I shoot with a gh3 and omd and was thinking about swapping the g3 for an omd but now I might change my mind. I did a wedding once with two gx1s and loved that ghee only difference was the focal length I had attached. Well, one was silver but the buttons were the same. Kind of would like to recreate that but each camera has its strong points.

I've never had either of my EM5's freeze at a wedding or otherwise. If they did that at a wedding they'd be in for repair the next day. Or in the bin.

Love the shot of the boys. Brilliant. How did the bride react to the fish shots? We use them, but sparingly.

Thanks Gordon. That's one of my favorite shots and one that the family seems to enjoy, I've gotten a couple request for prints already. The bride seems pretty happy with what I've shown them so far, including the fisheye shots. Her exact words:"omg, so pretty! I can't wait to see them all..thanks!".. That was a huge relief for me lol! The fisheye was literally a last minute addition to my bag, and I'm glad that I brought it along. I just checked out your site, amazing work!

As far as the OMD freezing, I was on firmware v1.2 so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it (updated today), I'm also the second owner ( bought from a forum member) so not sure if there's a previous issue with the OMD... I'm now on the latest firmware v1.7 and if I'm correct somewhere in between 1.2-1.7 there was an update addressing the IBIs performance? Somehow It's supposed to be smoother now and the IBIs is something JOnathon f2 mentioned as a possible culprit.. I'm looking into a repair but I hear OLYs turn around times can be long.. wonky as it may be I'll be needing the OMD for a few upcoming shoots so sending it out will have to wait for now.
