    Hi all,

I rarely shoot video. However, I was using my E-M5 to shoot my child's school play and the exposure is all messed up. The background was black so everything was over exposed.

    1. Any cheap or free software to correct this?

    2. What are optimal settings for shooting something like this? I was panning and zooming in and out. I had AF set as SAF + MR. Camera was in iAuto mode. I shot a previous school performance where the scene was static and those videos were completely fine.

    3. Should I be locking exposure next time?

Any other video tips are much appreciated.

Locking exposure is a good idea if the lighting doesn't change too much, or at least use exposure compensation to adjust for the black background. There's only a limited amount of adjustment you'll be able to do in post as you're effectively getting JPEGs (not even at super fine quality).
