Hi I've just bought my first legacy lens for my EM5 ii- an OM mount 50mm f1.4 and am hoping to add a set of extension tubes for macro (14mm and 25mm). Has anyone used a similar setup and got decent results?

I don't have this set-up but I do have the Minolta 50/1.4 + Vivitar 2x macro teleconverter on E-PL2 and get better results than the Fotga auto extension tubes I used on O17/2.8, P20ii and O45 native lens mounted on E-M10 and/or E-PL5. However, that set up is quite heavy and I can't handhold it. For handheld shots, I have the O12-50 native kit or the Minolta 37-70 macro zoom; however, both are not 1:1 only close focus but it's alright with me.

I know it does not answer your question but just to share my experience on other setup.

This is my most viewed photo on Flickr. This was taken with the setup I mentioned above.

Thanks, I think a shot like this is where the extension tube excels. I might get the manual extension tube to try on the 50/1.4.
