OK, so I've had this lens for a few weeks now and I haven't used it a ton, but today, I took a couple seemingly random pictures of my cat (what else do you take pictures of? :hmmm:) and I looked at the out of camera JPGs at 1:1 from an E-M10 MkII and thought, "Holy shit, I'm all out of beer!"

Also, I noticed this lens is pretty amazing at f/2. Dare I say it rivals the 75/1.8 wide open.

Again, straight out of camera. Zero processing.

And, in case it's not abundantly clear, here's a 1:1 crop. Keep in mind, I believe this was shot at ISO800.

It’s definitely worth the cost. But yeah, it’s not really “affordable” considering it’s manual focus. It’s also bigger than I had anticipated for an OM lens. Its 2.8 little brother is quite a bit more compact (but not nearly as sharp wide open)

It's a lens on my wish list too, if I could ever afford it.

YOU STOLE MY LENS!

Isn't that the one that was listed for ~587 or so? I wrote and said I'd give him $550 if he'd add the "Make an offer" option, and then when I went to buy it, it had already been sold for $556.14!

(Good job. I'm deeply envious. Have fun with it!)

Wachete just told me one came up on KEH, but it's an "UG," for $438.30. So I placed the order with their recent 10% sale. We'll see how UGly it is when I get it. It might wind up going back, but I've always found KEH ratings to be conservative.

We'll see how UGly it is when I get it.
It came in a plastic bag, with no case nor front or rear cap.

Other than that, it is LIKE NEW! There is a tiny scratch on the aperture ring knurls. The glass is perfect, seen through +3 reading glasses, not even a speck of internal dust!

This is the second "UGly" I've purchased from KEH. The first was the incredible Olympus Telescoping Extension Tube (for just $39), which came without caps nor tripod foot, but otherwise was also like new!

I'll be trolling the KEH UGly offerings regularly now…

Picture of daughter running towards me, not the sharpest picture , but I love how it renders the trees in background looks like oil painting
