I'm having a problem developing raw images. I can make adjustments and see them on screen but when I export the file the resultant image has reverted back to it's original state. How do I make the adjustments "stick"?

I've tried everything I can think of including the help menu.

Thanks for your reply, but that's what I am doing and when I open the file I've saved/exported it doesn't have the applied changes.

I'm thinking I need to re-install the software.

I went back to Viewer 2.0 because of too many troubles with Viewer 3.0.

I didn't think you could save the raw adjustments back into the ORF. I have both OV2 and OV3 and I haven't been able to save raw adjustments back into the ORF on either... maybe I'm missing something?

Are you saving with the same file name and same location?

    Try a different file name.

Yes, I'm saving to a different location always and sometimes with the same name and other times not and still with the undesired result.

OV3, there is an update available 1.2

I also edited an ORF and saved it in the edited form.
It was saved in the developed form as a JPG in the same location or any other location I chose, but under a different name, of my choice.

Since OV3, any adjustments I do in raw files are saved. I just verified that. Maybe you have some kind of write protection enabled or limited access to the files?
On the other hand, for unknown reasons and randomly the preview of raw files gets blocky/corrupted and refresh doesn't help.

I've downloaded the 1.2 update previously, it didn't solve the problem.

Yes, correct. That's exactly what's happening.

No write protection enabled nor do I have any kind of access restriction.

Have you tried exporting as a TIFF rather than a jpg? (Not that I have any idea why this would make a difference, just trying to think of things you could try to narrow down the problem).

Does the exported jpeg appear to be the one embedded in the original RAW file? You can probably tell from the size, I think with Olympus the embedded jpg is normally 3200 pixels wide although I am not familiar with the EM-1.

I have no idea what might be wrong :(
I use OV3 despite being slow and very limited regarding options, because of its colors signature and gradation options. But God knows how much irritates me with it's bugs. I am not really sure it worths the hassle.
I highly appreciate Olympus' photographic qualities, but I think they should pay much more attention and resources on their software.

I have and use Adobe Lightroom but with the ORF's I find I get better results with Olympus viewer and I'm willing to put up with its slowness but I need to correct the problem I'm having with it.

Tomorrow I'm going to re-install the software and see what happens.

Let us know if that fix the problem. Unfortunately OV3 doesn't support a repair installation (I tried that) and it's mandatory first to uninstall and then install again.
    Good luck!

Did a fresh install of the software today and still getting the same problem, guess it's back to LR until I can talk to someone from Olympus.

Thanks to all who've offers helpful suggestions.
