I just got my first Olympus, EM10II. When in silent mode, the flash is disabled, beeps are disabled, but I noticed the bright orange AF Illuminator light still functions. Is this normal? On my Lumix camera in silent mode, it is all disabled. I know I can turn of the AF Illuminator on the Olympus, but is there a way to turn it off, ONLY in silent mode?

On Olympus it's not silent mode, it's simply silent shutter. AF illuminator is not coupled. You could use a MySet to create a silent mode I suppose.

Or just turn off the AF assist lamp. I never use mine and rarely have trouble focusing in dim light. In the gear menus under AF, obvs.
