Continuous Autofocus and Continuous Autofocus + Manual Focus
Use the Continuous Autofocus (C-AF) or Continuous Autofocus + Manual Focus (C-AF+MF) focus modes when shooting sports. The C-AF mode will continually track focus on a moving subject as long as the shutter button is depressed halfway. Using this focus option also automatically enables Predictive Autofocus, which anticipates the next focus point of a moving subject. C-AF+MF activates the manual focus ring on the lens so that the autofocus can focus the lens and then the photographer can manually fine-tune the focus. C-AF autofocus is not recommended for static subjects because the camera is expecting changes in the subject motion and velocity.

Does it mean that the Predictive Focus is similar to Panasonic DFD? If yes, does it perform better or worse than Panasonic cameras? Can this feature work on 12-40 f2.8 and 35-100 f2.8 lenses, or must be 4/3 lenses?

That appears to be old and based on the E-Series cameras rather than m4/3... it's had some information about m4/3 inserted into it however much of the information and terminology looks pretty dated.

    I don't even think m4/3 has C-AF+MF anymore...

I think Panasonic DFD uses a more efficient approach to AF by using the defocus areas as data to predict what is in focus. Other AF systems hunt until it achieves focus, but DFD hunts once and thru that single data point it knows exactly where to focus with out having to hunt more. As a result, it's "probably" the fastest AF for mirrorless cameras. Emphasis on the probably.

Here is a video of TheCameraStoreTV doing a autofocus shoot out with Olympus, Fuji, Sony and Lumix. DFD wins.

There have been various firmware updates since that video. Not sure how relevant those test are now

Indeed, Em1 does not have caf+mf.

    Mind boggling

Thanks for posting and linking the video - very interesting
A very good showing for mirror less cameras in general and very high rating for the focus abilities on the GH4
