I agree with Allan, simply superb - what clarity!
I was going to ask what lens, but I see that all yours are Pro lenses, so no real point me asking. :rolleyes-38:

Must say I'm enjoying mono on the Pen F.

One of the very first photos taken with me new (it's lightly used but new to me) Pen F - in Monochrome 2 mode.

One more with the Monochrome 2 setting on my Pen F - a streetscape in southern Oregon:

Another Pen F monochrome. This way of shooting is starting to grow on me ;)

The Monochrome mode seems to lend it self to a variety of subjects - including impromptu available-light portraits--

War memorial, though applicable to any health care or essential worker who is helping the world address a pandemic at their own risk.

I was a little slow with the shutter on this photo, I would have preferred the man to be left of center. No editing done apart from the obvious crop and frame that i have done for Instagram.

Mono mode 1 no grain.
Great shot, regardless, but I feel your pain about wishing you had framed it differently. Apologies for stating the obvious but you could have flipped it left to right? Not as perfect as walking into the frame and the light, but might be better. Just picking nits though, it’s a beautiful image.

I’m looking through this thread regretting passing up the Pen F at the recent Olympus outlet sale.

Cheers Steve.
Even though it's not perfect, it is still one of my favourite photos of 2019.

Now that's black and white at its best. Great images

I'm still getting to grips with the Pen-F's mono settings; currently I use mono profile 2 default -6/+6 shadows/highlights settings however, if you change these, does that not move away from mono profile 2 or does its 'look' go further than just changing the shadow/highlights/midtones curve? Hope that makes sense :D

Taken with my tweaked version of the Monochrome Profile #2 - on a cloudy day at the end of March outside of the small Oregon town where I live.

As best as I can tell with my own experiments, Mono 1, 2 and 3 all have the ability to have the same settings and look. Mono 1 comes from factory with the flattest look and no application of highlights, shadows, mid tone, color filter, grain or vignette. Mono 2 has the +6/-6 on the shadows (grain too?) while Mono 3 has the Red filter on it to mimic IR look.
