Snagged a M1MkII and the 100-400 for less than $2K (inc, tax) with coupon code. Apparently discounts vary between items.

I don't know that the prices have gotten any better since last time.
Thanks for the heads up!

The discount dropped the price of the 100-400mm to $960 before tax, which I thought was pretty decent.

It's like fishing, though: hooking the fish is one thing. Getting it in the boat is quite another. It took several attempts — punctuated by site crashes — to complete the transaction.

But 100-400mm on the way!

Put something in my cart and tried to check out, but the site kept crashing. Finally, when I was able to get back in on the fifth or sixth try, the item I wanted went out of stock. Aaarghh... OMDS, you're making it hard to be a fan.

I see lenses. Some of which I had and sold. I see, think and think I want.. so I took at the metadata of the photos I have taken to see quantity per mm and I can clearly see that some of the lenses I want I probably wont use. Does this happen to you too?

I am tempted by PanaLeica 25 f1.4 from time to time. I was able to resist the temptation by analyzing a few thousand pictures taken with a 12-40: it appears that 17 f1.8 is a better match for me and I do enjoy shooting with it. However, the upcoming Oly 20 f1.4 may be very tempting… but pricey.

Normally, if I buy a lens, I have a defined need for it, so it gets used.

I may decide that I don't like it, like the 14-42-EZ.
But it still fills a need, and gets used, although not as much as it could be, if I did like it.

However, months ago, I got the 45 to pair with my 17, when I want to carry the pair of primes (17 + 45), like in the OLD days.
But, I have yet to use it. If I want a light carry kit, I usually grab the P-Lumix 12-60 instead of the pair of primes.
The 17 is my indoor low light lens, and I have used it.

That happened to me a few years ago when it was Olympus. The site kept crashing and I couldn’t complete the transaction. I contacted them by email and they worked it out. It doesn’t hurt to ask. The clearance site has always been a bit unstable during sales.

OK, I found some deals (I think):

EM10-mk2 for $200
https://www.getolympus.com/us/en/outlet/e-m10-mark-ii-black-body-reconditioned.html
This is the one for all of you who are disappointed with the mk3 and mk4.

12/2 for $400
https://www.getolympus.com/us/en/outlet/m-zuiko-12mm-f2-0-black-2.html
I'm very bummed I didn't log in last night and see this - I've been mourning my decision to let my em10ii go since the day I boxed it up. I guess I didn't realize just how attached I was to it at the time. Since then I can never seem to find one in good shape. I'm also tempted by the 12/2 for some blue hour photos I take at our local parks. I think I would be a buyer at $300....

Here's a nice corner case for anyone that bought something from the outlet within the last 45 days. You can call them and ask for the discount code to apply to any purchase done within a return window. My example: 12-45mm for 415.
