Black zooms all the way. There is too much surface area for silver. But the small primes are made for the silver bodies. I worked so hard to get that silver filter for the 25 and then realized that it doesn't work anymore once I got the hood.

And do you also find color mismatch of the 17mm annoying??

Only one. From left to right, we have the Olympus 45/1.8, the Kodak cine 63mm, the Olympus 25/1.8 on the E-M10, the Panasonic 20/1.7 and the Olympus 17/1.8.

I did find different silver tones a little distracting, but c'est la vie.

I don't know about now, but when I was building my m43 setup, used silver lenses were cheaper than black ones. Didn't pay more than $200 for any of my primes (and they all came with hoods).

And to cap the sorry saga, I ended up getting a silver Pen-f off eBay. Comes with a black 25/1.8. Pitiful me!
