Having never been there, this shot is deceiving at first glance, at least for me. I think the streetlights on the left trick the eye that the courtyard below is much smaller than it actually is. However, the benches in the courtyard below instantly snap the viewer back to reality by providing scale.

@saladin Very nice shots, Jason. The Eureka Tower is one of my particular favourites.
Thanks John,

I was driving in Richmond and looked down this alley/street. I didn't quite get it all centred and symmetrical but in my defence was shooting from the car window, lol. (Im a tradesman so even with the lockdown I have a little more freedom than many , but I wasn't risking getting out of the ute for a photo walk!)

Yay, a new camera! First impressions: it's very light, but sturdy. Love the shutter sound, don't love the EVF poking into my chest when wearing the camera on a shoulder strap.
Image quality is rougly the same as my Pen-F, good colours as usual with Olympus.

I traded my silver 25mm f/1.8 lens for a black one. Seems like this one is a lot less sharp, especially in the corners. Edit: problem solved, I just had to tweak the sharpness settings in DXO.

Some pics in and around the house:

I just bought a E-M5 III.
I am not yet sure if I really like it.
It is not like with "my 1st love" E-M10 and my "all-time love" Pen-F.
It's more like a compromise in favor for practicability.

These a the very first pictures, taken with the 25/1.8 and with the 75-300.

Recently, I have become intrigued with the Scene modes of both my E-M5 III and E-M10 IV. The other night my wife and I took a spin around our neighborhood to check out the Halloween displays . We both have E-M5 III's and used the Handheld Starlight Scene mode. Shooting both LSF JPEG and Raw, the JPEGs from the camera ended up better after some minor adjustment in Lightroom.

In Handheld Star light mode the camera shoots 8 high burst images and then merges them in-camera for the final JPEG result.

I will have to give the Handheld Starlight Scene a try on the EM5.3. There are a number of interesting Halloween displays around the neighborhood.

Happy Halloween!

These photos are from this afternoon along a walking trail in the area.

When I looked at the image in the LCD, it looked like dust on the sensor. In fact, it looks like snacks for the spider. I liked the silhouette, especially for Halloween.

This photo is processed through DxO PhotoLab 4 with a little tweaking in RAW Photo.

This is the same photo, processed in DxO PhotoLab 4, but then with applying "Auto Enhance" in RAW Photo to see how it turned out.

The last photo is one when I exposed to see what the spider looked like. It was too far away (from the ground) to see its coloring, it just looked like a silhouette, but it came out okay.
