Hello lucky mk2 owners :)

Any chance of some long exposure seascapes (with lots of water and/or cloud movement) using the high res mode? 30s-1min exposures would be perfect.

I did the best I could to create a comparison of images taken with the EM5 Mark II, hope someone finds it useful/informative.

- 1st image is re-sized to 800px from the hi-res version.

- 2nd image is a screen cap of the Lightroom 1:1 display mode of the normal 16mp image

- 3rd image is a screen cap of the Lightroom 1:1 display mode of the hi-res image.

M. Zuiko 12-40 f/2.8 PRO, f/8, at 25mm. Late afternoon window light, shot on a tripod w/cable release.

Despite low temperature dips here on the west coast of Canada, we're seeing signs of spring already!

Shot at ground level, PL 25mm.

My EM5 Mk II will be here Friday, along with a new Oly 25 f/1.8, Hitech filter holder, 7 stop ND and some new graduated filters. Exactly the use I had in mind, but it will be next week before I can get to the beach to shoot. I am very anxious to see how the Hi-Res mode works with longer exposures and the swirling waves.

*Edit-Read a excellent review at Gordan Laing's Camera Labs website today on the E-M5 MKII and the 1 shot he provided of moving water was not pretty. Gordon did offer a PS solution by composting photos though, by using the 16PM ORI file (the 1st of the raw 8 shots taken).

After my rear dial failed me when I got my new camera in last week (click here for thread) I finally got my new replacement in today! Had to try out the high-res shot first so I decided to shoot my lens collection using an adapted Pentax MF lens on the E-M5ii since it's all I had. Camera lens porn!

Focused on the "42.5" lettering. I just noticed the fingerprints on the Nocticron lens barrel. :dash2:

To the owners of new EM5 m2, how do you feel the new sensor compare to the old EM5?

After seeing the hi-res photos posted here I'm more excited about that feature.
Surely I'm not the only one.
