Anyone know why the green lights on the house? They came from the camera somehow. It occurred several times in low-light situations.

Hydro, there's something wrong with that first picture. There's a white cast to everything. Maybe your white balance went wonky or it way overexposed.... It washed out all of the brown and greens!

Anyone know why the green lights on the house? They came from the camera somehow. It occurred several times in low-light situations.

most likely some kinda flare ? maybe the lights along side the door is my guess ?

do you have a filter on your lens ?
and what lens ?

look in the other pics and see if it could be from a light source like that ?

Except it happened indoors as well. Took some shots when our power went out and we used candlelight. Got the same green spots. No filter or flash on my 12-50.

Hydro, what are your settings and what mode are you shooting in? I haven't seen that happen yet with my OMD.

were the candles in the frame at all ?
candles could cause it also ?

if the candles were not in the frame in front of the lens area somewhere ? not sure ?


would not have to have a filter just sometimes makes it more prone to happen

maybe post pics of the candle shots that have it ?

in some better lens the idea of coatings is what is supposed to help stop this or lower the amount it happens but it does and can happen pretty easy

Shot in manual mode. Not sure of exact settings, but since they were low-light shots, used a low aperture.

Yes, the candles were in the picture. I'll post the picture tomorrow. Thanks for the responses!
