Wonderful photos.
I have recently been experimenting with new sharpening methods. I hope you don't mind but I tried Sharpen AI on it, focus setting, 1.0. (If you object I will of course remove it).
If you want me try another one, give me a link.

WOW - to truly appreciate just how good a job has been done you would need to see the originals, i know i had essentially discarded these and only kept them for the memory. Thanks for showing off what Topaz Sharpen AI can do

I was referring to these images, they look as pale as dead.

I thought there were some purple tint to that monochrome processing, as someone also pointed out these images were seemingly taken under mixed lighting conditions, to me they just don't look like proper black and white shots. However checking them using image viewing software reports a colour count of 255, which should usually rule out any colours, not necessarily though.

conclusion: even black and white can't save it when lighting goes wrong.
