24 hours after upgrading from the m5.2 to the m1.2 and I'm absolutely blown away by the autofocus. Way better than the a7ii even, imo. Now I can't wait for that Oly 100-400 to drop!

I have just received the 300mm pro and I’m really pleased with the results. From the first few shots I have taken it’s a huge upgrade from the 75-300.

Nice first shots, your lens upgrade is huge in lots of ways, weight, length, price and output. My 75-300 has been ignored since I bought the 300.

I recently did the same and the lens has not left the camera. Your photos are great by the way, hope to be able to produce something similar with practice

Let me get the bad out of the way up front: this white-winged dove landed just outside my window while I was working at my desk; and reader, I *panicked*. I was in such a hurry to get the shot before the birdy took off that I just didn't do a very good job on subject isolation (should have opened it up) or composition (should have done...SOMETHING other than what I did, like pan left).

I'm posting it, though, because I think it speaks well for the 40-150mm/MC-20 combo. This was shot through a (admittedly less clean than it could have been) window; but it's crisp and not lacking in contrast.

The TL;DR version: poorly conceived shot; great work by Olympus on the optics

Last year some insufferable a-holes painted reverse swastikas on these poor turtles' shell. This is a family of 5-6 turtles that lives in a park about 5 minutes from my home. Later some organization for animals fished them out and removed the paint and released them back in the lake. Went to that park after it opened recently and they are all back to their normal hang out spot clean as a whistle.

My first shots with my new second hand camera. Light not the best, and I was tired after work and didn't get the monopod out, so not terribly sharp. I like the feel of the camera though, and the shutter. Lots to learn ...

I like the feel of it in my hand much more than the G9, which is just a fraction large for my hands. Learning curve, but usually I learn enough for what I want to use it for, then stop. Learning the camera that is ....

I had read that the menus were terrible, but they don't seem too bad to me. Managed to Google and set to RAW. I think I'm going to prefer it over the G9, but time will tell. A couple of shots I completely missed focus, but I think fatigue a factor and probably "dropped" lens down as depressed shutter, as focus was a foot or so in front of target
