Got an email this morning announcing a big sale. You can see the new prices here. FWIW B&H has the same prices.

I'd love to get the 75mm 1.8, but I'm still mad that Olympus doesn't include the hood on a nearly $900 lens. Really? Are you THAT cheap, Olympus? So if you take that into account and add the hood, it's less than $150 off the price.

    YMMV :)

The 45 isn't a $900 lens. It's less than half that. Good used ones in the $200s. Best value in MFT.

Thanks for this, wolfeye. The 12mm and 75mm are still just a bit out of my reach right now. But I did just order a 14-150mm with weather resistance for $399. that's how much a refurbished 14-150mm without WR cost me a few years ago. Good deal.

A word of warning - In Canada we just came off a similar lens sale. Not only did prices go back to original prices, they increased by 20+%. Now this may or may not happen in the US, and Olympus is probably trying to recoup exchange rate. In some cases the increases were well beyond the current exchange rate though.

If only that was the same price in Australia :( Sigh. As it is, we be hard pressed to get it under AU$700 from a brick & mortar shop selling local and not grey import.

I honestly feel bad for our friends in Australia and Europe. They really get hosed on prices. At least those in the EU get some additional warranty protections. But the Aussies just pay more, it seems.

It seems like every other week they are knocking $100 off lenses. And even more off bodies. The real deals are the refurbished lenses. You can get the 75mm there from time to time. They're always sold out before I get there though.

I'm feeling somewhat hoodwinked by olympus to be honest...i've been looking at the 25mm prime which WAS 349 CAD, missed out...now they're claiming selling at 399.99CAD is 100 dollars off!

    feels a bit sneaky
