I took advantage of the recent sale and purchased an FL600-R (and the MAL-1) for use with my E-PL2 and G3 bodies. I have primarily used a Nikon SB-600, and as this is the first flash I have owned that has an LED/video light, my learning curve is a bit steeper. So, I have a couple of questions. How much of a drain is the LED light on the batteries? And, has anybody used this light (handheld) to light up objects that are being photographed with a tabletop tripod and macro. It seems like it would be quite handy to be able to hold the light as needed to create some (or all) of the desired lighting effect that is sometimes difficult when shooting macro. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am going to be delving into tabletop macro work in the near future.
