Just replaced my E-M1 (mk1) with a Panasonic G9. As much as I'd love to pair it with a E-M5 mk 3 (to replace a Panasonic G5) as my smaller/backup body, that's not in the budget.

Any pointers to differences between GX85 vs M10 mk 2 vs M10 mk3?

I would want my backup camera to have a similar layout to my main camera, and if possible, share batteries. Either keep your E-M1, or look for a Panasonic body that makes sense.
