Olympus E-PM2 White w/ 14-42mm $199 on eBay/Newegg (It's back)

Got one last time it was offered at this price. VERY happy with it. Wasn't sure how attractive the white with silver lens would be, but love it now I have it. I seem to recall seeing some incredible number like 1900+ had purchased one of these when I bought mine.

 

I don't think there's a better camera out there for that price...

 

x2... I don't think you can find any camera with that size chip or even a 1" for close to that price.

 

It's now $299 and they won't ship to the UK.

Oh well, I didn't have a spare £190 anyway.

Pricing tricks methinks.

Set low price. Offload at-cost inventory at low margin. Create buzz and get attention from bloggers.

Bump price up, sell to any stragglers who see a good price in comparison to msrp. Create anguish in the hearts of those who didn't jump on the deal.

Offer at lower price, not necessarily the lowest. Pick up the broken hearted ones who don't want to lose the deal.
