Has anyone been successful in disassembling the Olympus E-P1? I am trying to get to the sensor for a DYI infrared conversion, and have gotten as far as removing the back (LCD/display) cover, but cannot get past the upper cover (shutter & power button/upper cover plate). It appears to be screwed in, but the LCD board is not coming off easy either, so I'm stuck. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Hi Vas

I have a problem with my E-P1 display. The camera fell to the floor from 1m height and now LCD doesn't show anything, although the it's illumination lamp does work. I tried to disassemble the camera to see if there is possibly a cable issue.

But I cannot go further than it's described here:

I wonder, how did you manage to remove the backside panel, without removing the top cover?
