Olympus C-180 is an old "teleconverter" from back in 2000. By accident I found one, and tried it with a step up adapter on the Oly 1,8. And the combo seems to be very sharp. In fact it become a 76,5 1,8! It is much cheaper and lighter than the 75 1,8. Not very sexy, but it works. Believe me or not. The converter is to be found on ebay, very cheap. And the stepdown ring 52-37mm is allmost for free.

I take you put it on the O45/1.8? Would love to see some samples and maybe a picture of the lens on your camera. I have been eyeing those old front TCs as an add-on for my future O75/1.8 purchase, but maybe I'll go ahead and pick one up to test on my 45.

I put one on my Panasonic 14-140 II. Converts from 140 to 240. Slight vignetting at 140, easily corrected in DxO. Well worth a try.

Yeah, I will when I get the stepadapter. I tried it provisional without one. toms-photograpy-blog.blogspot.no do agree to my "accident"

I think the 58mm filterdim is too large to make this a great combo. The 37mm on the 45 1,8 seems to me to be very sharp. Also tried it on the Sigma 6o 2,8. Seems to be allmost as sharp as my Pana 35-100 2,8. Could not believe it...

Thanks. That's a 62mm thread, right? I guess it will probably still vignette some on the 75 which has a 58mm thread. But may not be awful

BTW, I love your signature. And my daughter wants to adopt it as her philosophy of life :)

Yes, vignetting is a concern on the 75, but I think I will go ahead and get one anyways to try on my 45. They are 20 dollars on eBay and I already have the 37-52 step up ring.

I think the big mark l has a 62mm, and the small mark ll has a 58mm. But anyway, I would not use it on that lens. But it works even on the Pana 100-300 as well, exept some vigneting. The converter is extremely light, and not very solid. But sharp as he... together with the 45 1,8. And as I said, a cheap way to the 75 1,8.

Thanks Jerry. The samples in that thread were convincing enough. Picked one up on eBay and its winging its way to me :) Will look really ghetto with my silver 45 too.

Also, noticed on that thread that someone mentioned that the O75 does not vignette with 52mm filters which was good to know.
