Thanks I stand corrected. ? we did park in the harbour and walked through the tunnel to the doggie bit. Chips from the shop at the entrance to the car park we’re stunning.

I didn't just use one 'filter' but rather did a little bit of post-processing.

This image started out as a RAW file, taken with my Olympus E-P3 (at ISO 200, obviously). I imported it into Lightroom 6.14 (aka LR6) - the last standalone version of LR, before they went to their newer monthly-subscription format, which never appealed to me. Then I used a Lightroom plug-in - from the old (and free) Nik series --- in this case, it was Nik's "Silver Efex", which features an immense amount of tools, presets, sliders, etc, for creating black and white or monochrome images. I used the Silver Efex 'Fine Art' setting, and then tweaked contrast, 'structure', and a few other variables until it more or less approximated what I had been hoping for when I took the picture.

The E-P3's now 'ancient' 12.3mp sensor is still quite a fine one, for some kinds of photography, at least - and the qualities of this tiny lens, which many pundits have dismissed, and dissed for being optically inferior to some excellent but much more pricey fisheye lenses, continue to surprise me pleasantly.

I guess the thing about distortion is - either you love it - or you like it - or you really aren't all that fond of it.
I fall into the first camp.
And on occasion I even go so far as to enjoy its FOV and curved-field effects for portraits---
And for self-portraits.

The only trick when shooting indoors, with limited natural lighting, is to try to get a hand-holdable shutter speed, without pushing the ISO's up to crazily unusable numbers.
If you can manage that, then all you have to do is guesstimate the focus distance - set the tiny little plastic focus lever on the front of the lens to the appropriate setting, and...

Press the shutter.
