I rented this lens back in 2019 for a trip to Hawaii; my profile photo was made with it! I thought the lens was pretty good but so niche that I'd never use it but recently found myself in a position where 12mm wasn't wide enough so now I'm hunting for an affordable 8FE.

I'm too cheap to buy a decent chainsaw, but as an Oregonian I'm contractually obligated to fall timber. Problem solved...

Those are indeed pretty epic, and I'm in the same boat as you... Really would like something wider than 12mm, but so can't justify another Pro lens... :) Let me know what you go with...

Did some cross-lake snow backpacking. On top of the 12-40/2.8 and O100400 I also brought the 8FE! I don't think I took too many with the 12-40/2.8 so that one might start staying home. Before realizing that Saturday was a full moon, I was hoping to get some nice tent glow astro photos. Oh well.

I think the tree with the ridge opposite is my favorite shot.

2.5 hour live composite. I started it as we were tidying camp with the intention of stopping it but realized that it actually gave me an interesting perspective.
