Thanks I have a feeling you’re daughter was elated with the “zoo experience “ and you came away with a winning shotI can confirm that my 75mm is a very sharp lens wide open.
The lemur was shot at a small zoo (Hoo Farm) here in the UK. I bought a 'zookeeper experience' for my daughter (and one for me) and you basically traipse around the various enclosures to feed the animals.
The lemurs in this cage were all hand-reared and consequently very tame. This lemur had a baby, just visible at the bottom of the pic. So, I was in the cage with the lemurs while six kids were keeping them busy with a big box of spinach leaves and bananas. They are about the same size as our maine coon cats - I was about three feet away at most, sunshine pouring through the cage roof. Dead lucky really. Couldn't miss.
(I told everyone else I went to Madagascar).
How is Shadow working out for you Steve? He looks like he likes to pose at least.
He's been wonderful. Really helping me get through a rough start to the year. Thanks for asking. Total joy around other dogs. I need to get some good video to show his true personality. He hops around like a giant rabbit. I've been taking him everywhere with me. He's still shy at times around people (and me) and loves going to the dog park to play (opposite of Nibbles/Lacy who were more people oriented). He'd love to have a buddy to live with I think. He moves a lot and is fast, so it's hard to get photos unless he's laying down. I took these after plenty of exercise. I'm not as well practiced with moving objects, but plan on getting plenty of practice. How is Shadow working out for you Steve? He looks like he likes to pose at least.
