went as close as the lens could focus handheld and had the help of gx85's focus peaking + ibis. image was cropped thereafter - just goes to show how sharp this lens really is! original sooc jpeg here https://flic.kr/p/2ip2CRoGreat shot, how did you get the macro focusing? Raynox?
Have been there before. My crystal ball shows you buying a 75mm 1.8 at some stage.Well, my GAS bubble has well and truly burst!
I spent yesterday afternoon (at our local churchyard) doing some test shots with all of my lenses, then analysing them all using 100% crops.
My wife came in to see what I was doing and after explaining that I was thinking of buying a 75mm lens I'd seen on offer at my favourite shop, she said "just go ahead and buy it!"
So, this morning I went online to try and buy it and discovered that it was no longer advertised.
I rang the shop to check and they told me it had sold yesterday afternoon while I was doing all the testing!!!!!
I really am gutted, as the lens was advertised as ex-demo, with a full 2 year guarantee and at the incredible price of £380.
They do have a couple in on "supposed offer" at £699 but that's way too much for my possible usage.
And what really bug me is that I had a different form of GAS recently, lusting after a Pen F, which I finally decided wasn't for me.
If I hadn't spent so much time drooling over the Pen F photos on this site, I may have gone for the 75mm earlier.
Oh, woe is me.
