Olympus 7-14mm f4 question

    I received a four thirds Oly 7-14mm f4 in the mail recently and unfortunately USPS smashed up the box a bit. Trying to find out now, if everything is ok with the lens...

    One thing I noticed that there is visible pincushion/barrel distortion when focussing.
    That means the image would visibly warp while autofocussing is doing it's "multiple step dance" until it locks.

    Is that a normal thing with this lens? Or with any of these ultrawide-angles?
