Any ideas on what "MF shooting operations have been improved" translates to?
Perhaps they adjusted the gain rates between the focus by wire turns and the change of focus based on focus distance. It can be difficult to hit critical focus at macro distances if the response is too fast to a small rotation. As an Engineer, that's what I would do...
That sounds most likely, it does feel more natural now.
Can anyone here post a link to this firmware update, please?
seems it hasn't been posted yet.
That's the problem I ran into and thought maybe it was posted elsewhere. The original place I saw this posted said it would be available Sept. 16 (today) but did not indicate a time or time zone so I guess I'll just check it tomorrow.
In the UK it was available from 9AM via the updater.
Thanks! I just plugged my E-P5 camera (with the 60 macro attached) into my computers USB port and ran the 'Olympus Camera Updater' and that program saw the 60 macro in the firmware list with the new 1.1 firmware highlighted. Just click OK and in 2 minutes my lens firmware is updated. Easy-peezy!
For Panasonic body users, here's the link:
The Olympus 45 and 75 also both have an upgrade to V1.1 available...
