put the 60 on my newly acquired second hand OMD E1MkII. Lens performed much better on the Olympus body. I had always difficulty focussing it on the G9. Just a few violas in the backyard - framing not ideal, as they are in low tubs and my back is playing up.

@mcgillro Looks good, Rose. Totally, completely understand about bending. Apart from generalized osteoarthritis, I have the joys of lumbar facet syndrome. Bending over/down is bad - getting back up can be an exquisite agony ...

Yes I've had facet joint injuries too, and it catches as you stand. I was trying to crouch but that catches the knees! <sigh> Joys of ageing lol

John & Rose, you both have my utmost sympathies.
I'm not suggesting you two are ancient crocks :hiding: but as a mere whippersnapper myself
I've had my fair share of back injuries and I'm now suffering with knee problems too.

Here's my solution...........

All photographic equipment should carry a government health warning when used outside. :th_salute:

@Panolyman Brian, thanks for your sympathy. My first disc problem occurred at age 13.

Everything really came together about 4 years ago, so nearly 60 years of only sporadic events and problems. Last year, I started taking painkillers 5 times a day. I can't take any anti-inflammatories because I take Warfarin. They take the edge off the pain. The only way to 'control' pain fully is to be doped into unconsciousness. Anyone who says otherwise has never actually had chronic pain ...

When I took the photo below, I had to get down on my knees. A very kindly gallery security guard had to help me up ...

Got a chance to try out my Pringles can diffuser today. I like the results so far. The bug in the flower I did not notice while taking the image, and the butterfly landed on a tree leaf after about a 15 minute flight.

Back to a bit of nature macro.

This was taken on a photowalk where I was specifically looking to do some macro work but forgot to take my flash and diffuser! Luckily the low evening light provided enough quality light to get a few decent shots, including this one where the light created a magical effect on the web.

Also saw some butterflies. Need to work on composition, but the lens certainly gives nice results.
