With some recent questioning of sharpness in legacy lenses when wide open, I thought I'd post a few...

Here are some shots using a late (serial over 1mm) OM 50 f1.4 - all wide open (actually, some are f2 - can't remember which!). C&C welcome.

f/1.4 at ISO1600. This lens wide open can be really glowy, but always shows punchy colors and contrast.

Great shot ! I'm worried my dogs don't stay still long enough for me to focus with a manual prime .

Especially at f/1.4 in ambient light, eh? :D That photo certainly wasn't as well focused as I would have hoped. The shoe is in better focus than the dog... but that does often happen shooting manual at wide aperture. I won't say it's always easy. ;)

I love the colors in this one!
Cheers, I think on this one I applied the tonal contrast filter in Color Efex which includes by default a bump in saturation, but nothing too major.

I think I need to spend some more time using this lens but have been too lazy to manual focus recently. These image were all shot a few months ago now.

Wow Thearne3, really nice - I love all of these! They have sort of an impressionist look to them.
