Bought a copy of this beast - only got to test it hand held in the yard. I might be doing most of my work with a tripod with this one...

I have been lucky to encounter a few kangaroos the last couple of times I walked up this hill. I think they are getting to know I'm harmless and don't get spooked when I move gradually closer as I shoot. These pics are with EC-14.

A couple of test shots in the dark, I like the long exposure better than the fast aperture one - I guess I need a better tripod now.

This lens really surprises me sometimes. These are all shot with the EC14 in C-AF and the feather clarity and color is great. They are all cropped 100%

A cormorant landing on a pier. Wasn't sure what this would look like. Used a Godox TT-350 and a flashbender to extend the flash. Cropped 100%.

a few from yesterday , a short burst all in focus of a gull predating a rat at high tide .picking it up then dropping it ...one full sized un-cropped image for comparison and one cropped in to show definition

Went on a Overland trip / Safari to Botswana last year.
One evening we went on a sunset cruise, always a favourite thing to do up there.
Longish lens is essential, you cannot always get that close to the action ..............
This lens is always a winner, the 1.4 TC is also a great add on.

one from today a u.k goldfinch on my feeder .shot through double glazed window and the bird was in shade .. straight lens getting a bit frustrated with the 1.4 tc as I thought I had the MA right but its still a touch soft will have to do it again at a longer distance
