First time trying the Pro Capture H with this lens. Really handy feature that I'm glad to know works. I wish the Pro Capture L was unlocked for 4/3 lenses.

@emorgan451 Eli, the FTs lenses are far to slow to focus other than the first frame, so not possible.

Lovely shots.
Thanks John. I know it's pretty slow. I just wish sometimes there was a way to get the fps higher in continuous focus (since it tops out ~5 with e shutter). Maybe between focus frames capture a few shots locked at last focus frame before the next one. It could be useful in some subjects, but utterly useless if something is moving into or away from the last focal plane.

You definitely need a 12-100 lens, mate ... .

Can someone with this lens give me the part number for the lens hood? I have a nice copy of the lens but no hood.

Sorry about asking in a showcase thread but I know that if I ask elsewhere I'll get responses for the SWD version.

Todd, it's an Olympus LH-70B.

JJC might have an equivalent, but I don't know.

Was worried this lens wouldn't focus fast enough. So far with good lighting I haven't had any issue.

Sometimes you can get an interesting bokeh. I'm going to try it around this focal length again to see if it's this almost swirly at 147mm consistently. This is my 4 yr old "reading" her mail.

Didn’t want to reply in your for sale listing, but… Don’t do it! You have done great things with this lens and have inspired others (me) to try it. I guess someday I may part with mine. I just can’t imagine why at the moment.

To others reading this that haven’t tried this lens; if he does go ahead with the sale, buy it. The combination he has listed can be hard to put together at times. Just look through this thread for examples from this great lens.

@Toddster, I am truly flattered that I've inspired anyone with my photography. Thank you so much. I've enjoyed seeing the images that you get with the lens since you got it! It's going to be really hard to part with it. I outlined my reasons in my review that you may have seen, but I wanted to link it here in case it helps others looking for the best bang for buck ~300mm https://www.mu-43.com/threads/olymp...2-8-3-5-ed-non-swd-ec-14.111734/#post-1486496

Happy to have found this form thanks to @Toddster post on the buy and sell. Sad to see you are getting rid of your copy! As someone who is relatively new to this lens (and always hunting for a good bargain) I am amazed at the quality on a nearly 20 year old lens! Here’s one from the first day I went out shooting with it about a month ago

Almost a year and no postings in this thread. This is such a great lens, shooting with it is the only thing I miss about going back to Panasonic.
