Opened the door this morning to see a shiny balloon in a tree. Not something you see everyday. I'm slightly disappointed I wasn't invited to the party. Anyway, the 45 is not typically used for this type of shot but my 25 just wasn't cutting it.

I confess that I really haven't used my prime lenses that much. So recently, I've taken a few outings where I carry my camera and the primes and leave my zoom lenses home. Just down the road from our community, someone bought out an old VFW hall and has converted it to an "event" center. Recently, an old Dodge truck has been parked in the parking lot, and I decided to give the Olympus 45mm f/ 1.8 a workout. I also decided that it would be a good subject for converting the images to black and white. Any suggestions, constructive criticisms or critiques are welcomed.

Playing with my new 45mm on my Pen F. Right at home, and fantastic so far. Can’t believe I waited so long to buy this lens.

Also playing with dialing in a Fuji Classic Chrome simulation in camera on the Pen F, and comparing it to my X100F...getting darn close. I’ll share when it’s fully baked.

In the meantime, some pictures of my other new toy-

I always thought this lens would be "too tele" for me, but I'm second-guessing that now. You guys make so many compelling photos with this lens. I really like the way both the in-focus and out-of-focus areas look.
