Finally got mine this morning, had a chance to take some snapshots on my way home. This lens is so fun.

All pictures shot at 1.8

Got mine today, from SRS Microsystems (excellent service and another big thumbs up for them if anyone is thinking of buying photo gear in the UK) for £239 plus P&P. It is absolutely TINY and light but feels really well made, not at all plasticky or cheap.

I'm afraid my test shots don't match the quality of some posted on this thread but unfortunately I don't have a cat, dog or willing human "victim" around to practice on today! So here are a few shots of random household objects instead, all on the E-PL3, hand held under artificial light at ISO 800 or 500, and all wide open at pretty much minimum focusing distance:

All I can say is it looks pretty sharp to me and I can't wait to start using it in more favourable conditions!

I also ordered one from them but I'm still waiting (I hope to receive it tomorrow or day after tomorrow). There were only 5, I was the second...

Wonderful images jbuch84, and everyone. I just know that we're going to continue seeing ever more stunning images coming from m4/3 cameras especially because of this one lens.

Thanks for the pointer to srs microsystems, never used them myself but they do always seem to be competitive.
I am trying to hold out until the "Focus" show at the nec next year. I think I had better stop looking at these pictures, they are fabulous!

my 45mm first shoot

Thanks to this post, I'm completely sold for this awesome lens. I bought it straight away from ebay last week after I found this thread. Pairing it with GF1 and getting my GH2 soon! No stabilizer is a big minus to me though, but I guess I need to train my hand to be as steady as possible.

Absolutely love the DOF, but I gotta learn not to abuse it though. :)

i think this might turn out to be olympus' best seller lens...

I can honestly say, putting all my photos into Lightroom from a recent trip to Spain, I mixed the GF1 with 5D and I had to check metadata to see which was which, some I thought were 5D were actually the 45mm on the GF1. I rekon this lens will definately be a best seller, its absolutely fantastic.
