Olympus 45mm Image Thread
Hi! I just got the Oly 45! The black E-P3 looks SO great with it!
Here I am posting the first shot I took with it.
Ha! I just got it too and home and also with only the dog to shoot!

Wow, great shots guys. I hope when mine arrives next week and I actually take my Panny 20 mm off to stick it on the front of my GF1 that I get pictures like that.
Really shallow DoF!
It was kind of hard to put it on the E-P3. Very very tight fit. I just got a black screen on the first attempt. I put it back and it worked.
I'd love to see what this lens can do in a professional/semi-professional model photo shoot. You guys listening?
I would like to nominate member 617 to provide these images. Hurry, someone send him their 45mm!
Nothing aesthetic or scientific here - just a quick handheld shot. This lens is sharp.
Here's one at f2
This lens rocks. Micro 4/3rds is on a roll!
Here's the lens mounted on my G3:

A couple snaps with the G3, 45 1.8 and my grumpy daughter who wanted to sleep!

Needs stopping down to at least f2.8, otherwise the DOF is too shallow on a large sensor like :43:
Portraits 1 and 2 are fantastic. I'm on pins and needles waiting for mine!
Thanks for posting the images. Nice shots and looks to be a sweat lens.
I think I can safely say it's probably time to retire those adapted fast 50mm lenses. The 45mm is that good.
I'd be interested to if you have tried manual focus with it and what your impressions are.
MF works fine. It's very smooth. The only thing I noticed is that it engages the opposite direction versus my Panasonic lenses.
Wow, great first shots everyone! I want one of these badly, but I was trying to be good after spending a lot of money recently on other things... I don't think I can hold out!
The early reviews on this lens was one reason I sold my EP3 and went back to my EP1. I love the EP3 (and will get it used when it's cheaper), but this lens looked stellar!
