I like to take product shots from time to time, but never really need a dedicated macro lens. I was wondering what to expect from the EM-5 and Olympus 45mm f/1.8 combination. I ordered a B+W close up lens from B&H (along with a few others  ) as I wanted to include one as part of my kit.

The B+W No. 5 Close Up Filter works well, reducing the focusing distance greatly. It is manual focus only, AF just kept hunting. I make no claims of being a good macro photographer, I can't see, lack patience, don't have a focusing rail, and the lighting is much more tricky. Hopefully this will help someone who is caught on the fence between the two 45's available on the market if you're only an occasional macro shooter.
