    That price is a little inflated... or does there copy come with a hood included. I got mine for $379 at my local brick and mortar store.

    The list price is $399, but when in short supply people (and businesses) can charge what the market will bear.

    I'm surprised it is still in short supply. I also got mine at a local retailer for list, but they were running a tax holiday, so I got it for the equivalent of $362 + tax. I think your best bet is trying a local camera shop.

    some of you folks are lucky to live in a city with a local shop that carries them. My local shop rarely has anything new-ish.

    Milwaukee don"t like photographers, or only Canikon are allowed entrance?

    I know its a bit on higher side and its not fair for a reputed company ilk camera to do that. The same lens is being sold ebay for AUD 363 and it is usually from big ebay stores from HK.

    They seem to pop in and out of stock at B&H for $399 w/free shipping. I'd lurk around there for a bit and try to snag one.
