This is the first time I have used this lens in 5 1/5 years. No complaints though.

Seems nice and sharp. What compelled you to take it out for a spin? And what replaced it in your kit 5 and 1/2 years ago?
I quit using it when I got the 40-150 f/2.8. Heavier, yet more versatile for me. My usual lens to carry is my 12-100 f/4. It is usually mounted on one of my bodies. I took the 40-150 f/4.5-5.6 out because I was anticipating my usual walk. A truck was blocking my way so I went another route and walked up a very steep dirt road instead, and I was wishing that I had my 12-100 with me due to the panoramas I was presented with. Another inconvenience is it's more difficult for me to type out 40-150 f/4.5-5.6 vs 40-150 PRO.

40-150 f/4.5-5.6 is my favorite lens.

These were shot a few weeks ago. I nearly always have the 40-150 4-5.6 in my camera bag. It's so light that it's silly not have it and has made some photographs happen just by being there when my small primes or 12-40 Pro didn't have the reach. It's not the sharpest lens the the took like but the images cleanup nicely. I just bought bought a Pana 100-300 II and it will likely not be in bag all the time because it's bigger and weighs more.

This lens really punches above its weight. I think I paid $39 for it a few years back. A little more reach on that pelican flight formation would have been nice but I can't complain. That was pretty much spray and pray since I was just putting camera back in the bag when they showed up.

I‘m wondering why I even bothered selling this lens. I mean I bought it for $99 and maybe sold it for $70. It was part of my ultra light kit, with my old e-pm2. I should’ve just kept it. Bang for the buck, it’s a tough one to beat -

I’ve been enjoying this bargain of a lens again lately. It’s a surprisingly good pairing with my new 12-35. They go in my Domke F10 very nicely and share caps and filters. My kind of outfit.

Better than it should be....

Today was the first outing with my new super-duper, plastic-fantastic, fall-off-a-log low cost, Silver Bullet Olympus 40-150 lenses. I got this lens at the Olympus refurbished site in brand new condition for less than $50 delivered.
So how good is it? Not bad I think when paired with my small kit E-M10 III camera. Here's some from the first test run.
What fun......

I recently purchased this lens refurbished from Olympus for $60. One of the best values in micro 4/3, I think. I use it as my zoo lens.

I really like this lens, came with my E-M10 II as a kit and haven't felt the need to get anything better

E-M5 III and edited with DXO 4 + Affinity
