I jumped on the Olympus 40-150 last week when it went on sale for $99. It is a nifty little zoom that weighs in at 206 grams with caps on both ends. It is sharp in the center wide open and gives good sharpness in the corners stopped down to f8. I found the colors and bit cool and the rendering not always natural compared to my pentax-m 100mm f2.8 adapted lens. The Pentax is a couple of lines sharper in the center and far sharper in the corners, and it shoots at 2.8 at 100mm and the Olympus is at f5 at 100mm. Of course the Olympus has snappy autofocus and a great focal range. I will use it for travel when I want a light handy kit. But for the best IQ at 100mm I will pull out the pentax. The 40-150 is a great bargain at $99.
