Can anyone who has this lens recommend it? Thanks.
I just posted this link in another thread, but QVC has this lens for $150
I received mine yesterday and am pretty happy considering the low cost and small size of the lens. IQ is very good but it feels really cheap.
Thanks, Lee. I ordered one. Great deal.
It's a great lens, very sharp. I used to have one until I switched to one lens solution (14-150mm) cause I prefer not to change lenses constantly during the day. I used to switch up to 10 times a day with 14-42mm and 40-150mm combo. It really got tired.
I haven't used mine extensively, but I have used it some. I've been generally pleased with the results. I have some 40-150mm images here. All were E-PL2 Jpegs with some cropping and pp work.
If you will go to the deals section of the web site, there is a lengthy thread on the deals and towards the end an evaluation of it as a portrait lens and link to a formal review of it.
Wish I'd known about the QVC price. Great companion lens to the kit lens. Not a big $$ layout either. Don't forget the filters.
Keep looking. There seem to be some deals popping up here and there.
I have it. Nice, sharp, fast focus, silent, light, small, cheap. I am not a really telephoto guy, but when needed it is a really good lens in that price range. I recommend it if you don't care to carry two lenses and change then when needed.
Don't understand what you mean by "don't care to carry two lenses".
