The lens is impressive, but I really want the teleconverter first. I'll slap it on the 75 1.8 and be thrilled, may be useful with 25 1.4 and 42.5 1.2 as well. If it plays nicely with panny glass.

The converter doesn't work with those lenses.

"The MC-14’s splashproof, dustproof and freezeproof all metal construction is compatible with the M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f2.8 PRO and will also be compatible with the M.Zuiko ED 300mm f4.0 PRO (Available in 2015)."

Well then I don't have to worry about it for now, beautiful glass but I can't use it, as I'm not allowed to lift more than 2 kg. so many penny's saved. I'm still envious though.
Anyone know why it only works with these two behemoths?

The bundle seems to be available in some regions, at least in Japan. Approximate US prices from Amazon Japan:

- Lens: $1500 (159,840 yen)
- Bundle: $1680 (179,712 yen)
- Sliding Hood: $60 (6,048 yen)

Can't find a price for the teleconverter alone.

The glass sticks out and would hit the rear element in all other lenses.

$1500 is not as bad as i thought. Panny 35-100 is 1500. Bundle price seems OK too.

That said, Oly 40-150 will probably be closer to 1500 € or £1500 in EU/UK area. And the $60 for the lens hood is basically a robbery. Well, if you're giving 1500, you're likely to think "what's $60 more?" but still... Robbery.

I've been so pleased with their original f/4 40-150 that I got new for $100, I just can't ever see dishing out another 1400 bucks to get to 2.8.
