Well, clickless aperture, now you're talking. I probably use the Jupiter8 on a Sony a5100 more simply because of that.
I have the Jupiter-8 and is kind of a bit glowy at wide open but sharper than the Zuiko 38mm f1.8
I just needed a bit wider an M43 and the Chinese lens is waaay nice than J-8, even wide open
I have several images that I need to process; would like to compare it a bit with the Zuiko...

User experience is so diverse lol! I had a Ricoh 24-72 compact for years, fitted handily in a pocket when on tour. And I remember one photo in particular - in a backstage corridor at a venue in Bologna when I really needed it to be a bit longer. I've taken loads of pictures at 35 and 50 etc in my life, now catching up at 75.

I know this is late post but will come up on searches. I use the zuiko...bought one adapter did not lock lens, so went with Fotodiox...which then worked fine, but never cottoned to it, so sold it and returned to Nikkors.

Small world. You might be able to see this tree from your desk, just down the sea wall path from the pier. Also at f/4 which might be magic on this lens.

I just viewed this shot full-size. The edge-to-edge sharpness almost gave me a heart attack! I love my Sigma 30/2.8, which delivers similar coloration, tonality, and resolution. But 30mm a bit shorter than I'd like to complement my Olympus 9mm and 17mm pancakes in my 5x5-inch belt pouch. I was thinking of getting the 45/1.8. But 38mm would be more useful indoors, where I tend to do much of my shooting.

G3 + Olympus Pen Zuiko 38mm f1.8

Think I got lucky with this one - small focus ring can make it really hard to nail wide open
